I worked in a weight loss centre in the UK for a while.
NutriSystem was new in the UK and had come from the US. (Here in NZ we don't know NutriSystem so well, but we are familiar with Jenny Craig, who worked for NutriSystem, before she started her own centres.) While I was there, I met a guy who airbrushed model shots for magazines.
He told me not to bother trying to recreate what I could see in magazines, because it wasn't real women we were looking at. He had morphed out more scars, acne, birthmarks, moles, dimples and so called 'fat' than he cared to remember, and drawn in more than a few sets of hip bones. He invited me to see the photos of the real women's Before Shots, and I didn't go, but thinking back now, I can see how profound such a viewing would have been. They were beautiful women, but not perfect.
Click Here to see why this kind of look is often impossible to recreate, because the model wouldn't even recognise herself. Take a look at what intensive editing can do for your figure.
Want longer legs? Here's how you 'can' have them in a moment.
No actual 'perfect genes' required. No pressure - and no reality either.
How do you think this model feels about her own perfectly lovely body after she sees this shot in a magazine?
Feeling amazing is a precursor to looking amazing.
Don't go on a D I E T, rearrange those letters and go on an E D I T.
Edit your lifestyle for real, work on your inner worth, your self talk, your values, take the pressure off, let go of your burdens, your past, edit what you dwell on and what you dwell in, edit your expression

I used the term signposts last night and just want to clarify that term.
'Signposts' are like markers on your life pathway. They are the repeated thoughts you have, the little hunches, the numbers that constantly pop up. (I see 777 and 222 often on number plates)
Songs come up for me too.
Signposts are sometimes the voices of friends, saying 'you should be on stage, you should be a hairdresser, you should work with people' for example. We don't always notice them, but they are always there.
We often find it impossible to see our selves sometimes and we get nudges - I call them signposts and they literally say "if you don't like it here - this is the way you can go."
You may dislike your work. Nothing really changes, but suddenly it becomes much worse. You share that with friends and they say "I always feel amazing when you help me get through a bad patch, or you always uplift me when I'm down' and you think 'well that's not helping me - I am still having a bad time at work' but your friend has actually just given you a clue about who you naturally are.
That clue is a signpost. You get in the car and all the songs are about 'you make me happy' You switch them off in a huff. You're not happy.
But you just missed another signpost.
You're back at work growling and all your Angels are around you.... saying 'well we are trying to tell her it's not the right place, we made it feel a little bit wrong, we got an earth angel to give her clues about how well she helps people, and now we are playing her music to cheer her up and tell her but...'
Truthfully you always wanted to be a counsellor, a psychiatrist or an occupational therapist, but when you suggested it, someone (often a grown up) poo-pooed the idea and so you went into something else that seemed more sensible.
This happens to countless people, and one of the reasons why is fear,
another could be timing wasn't right, and of course, nothing is the wrong thing - everything gives you experience, it all brings new people to you and helps you along your path.
It's never too late to train though - and the good news is you can study a raft of things to enhance your own natural gifts. It takes time to build into something new, but if your eyes are open and you are willing to be moved into your right space, little courses, classes or amazing books and mentors will show up.
With practice you will notice your signposts more easily. With practice you will accept them (the ones that feel most relevant to you), take the small opportunities and maybe some large ones - and allow them to unfold on the path that best resonates with who You are - naturally.
Life is what you make it.
Who are You?

Andorra is a tiny country in the Pyrenees mountain range between France and Spain.
It is a popular ski resort, with just 20,000 inhabitants.
It's loaded with breathtakingly beautiful scenery, very clear water - breathtakingly freezing cold for a traveller to wash her hair with, I might add - but it held something else magical that had me spellbound - a surprising and heart warming demonstration of community.
I stayed only for a very quiet night in an alpine hut, ultimately sleeping 'fairly rough' on an airbed that had absolutely no commitment to staying inflated. It may just be me, but if I'm on one, I can't go to sleep until the whole thing has deflated and my body parts are making full contact with the floor. None of this half floating round stuff for me.
In Andorra, I experienced strangers wishing others well.
As my fellow travellers and I were wandering into the main town on foot, there was a huge tooting, and beeping of car horns coming from behind us. Coming from New Zealand this might signal some major calamity, so startled, we all turned around...
to see a wedding car, and many cars following with ribbons on their aerials - all of them were tooting and honking their horns, and as they got right into the heart of the traffic, all the other traffic around honked and tooted too. All the people waved and shouted hooray, and the joyous cacophony heralded the procession through town and out the other side, bouncing off the mountains and echoing until peace prevailed.
It was utterly magical witnessing a community celebrating the love of two people they may never know. I banked that magic inside myself, savoured and remembered it, and many times when I've seen a bride since, I've tooted and/or waved, and my heart smiles remembering Andorra.
Sharing joy, celebrating and adding our blessings to other peoples blessings is something we are often shy to do, but it's such a beautiful way to join in community with others. It's so uplifting once we allow ourselves to be open to it, it makes the world much smaller and more intimate and gives us a deeper experience of life.
Do you have a tradition like this?
If there is one thing I have learned, it's that all of life is about energy.
The body is a constant process of renewal, not a structure as some people
believe, and in it, energy never stops.
Our whole body - it's complete cellular make up, including all organs and the skeleton, is replaced within one year.
So what are we feeding it?
And I'm not talking food here, I'm talking energy and power.
Do we enable? Or disable?
What we observe becomes us. What we hold close becomes us. It literally does rub off. People that are close to us are oscillating in our field, the same way as we oscillate in theirs. It is actually impossible to be alone, because not just energetically
speaking, but scientifically speaking too -wherever we go, we take people,
trees, sky and plants with us.
We inhale each other and all the energy that is around us.
This is why we are sometimes referred to as One.
So when people 'get sick' in any way, what they are referring to is an imbalance of
energy - whether it shows up in a physical way or an emotional way - it starts
with a flattened/squashed/ or grey energy.
I have lost count of the number of people who tell me that they have had 'this thing forever' so they are 'stuck with it'. In a short time, these same people have been free.
Energy can be moved in a moment, and your pain, no matter how old it is, brings me joy.
Because my gift is the gift of turning pain to wellness.
Your physical, spiritual and emotional pain - to me - is an opportunity to exercise my abilities to bring you liberation, wellness and skills to help you and to change your life.
So educating you and freeing you, is not only my pleasure, it's the icing on my cake.
If you are carrying pain (no matter how old it is), you probably don't need a pill,
what you do need is TLC, a clearing and then, energy tools.
Simple, effective, and powerful.
Mainstream media mostly tells you that pain is a part of life. The cost of
believing that is massive, and they are right until you stop resisting the power
that you have within you and allow it to wake right up.
And that is most definitely a gift.
If you have a group, I have speakers rates available.
I am currently taking One on One clients, locally and world wide - either in person or via skype, and my next shows are scheduled in Hamilton - August

Are you ready to meet your brilliance?
Maybe you are a healer…? How would you know?
We are all healers in some way - but some of us do resonate more with our abilities, or could do with awakening to our abilities so we can use them to enhance our lives and the lives of others.
15 Tell Tale Signs to watch out for...
When I first started my work, I was completely blind to many of my gifts, and only over time, did they become obvious to me.
For example, I was told by people who did readings, to stop doing readings for free - I was just talking to people and had no idea I was having some 'mystical conversation' with them, it was a natural part of my life, me being me.
Apparently I was also a 'healer' - and if you are an 'entry level' person you will resonate with this word - as 'healer' means 'person that makes others feel better'.
If you have been around healing for a while, it's likely that you would say you were a facilitator, which doesn't really make sense to people who come out of mainstream - they may think you coordinate events or some other random thing. Once upon a time, as far as I was concerned a Facilitator was a random term with multi-functions, a little like the word Consultant.
Anyway - the following list may prove useful to you - and perhaps it will bring an AHA moment or two, plus answer the odd question you may have.
It all relates to my experience and what I have witnessed through my work. Knowing how to use these gifts has changed my life completely.
1. Your hands intermittently get really hot. And may even be dry or peel.
2. You feel awful when others are suffering.
3. If you could take people’s pain away you would.
4. You are attracted to caring professions.
5. You are the ‘go to’ or fix-it person in your family circle of friends.
6. People sit down next to you and tell you their life stories without any encouragement on your part. Often they are perfect strangers.
7. You constantly hear the words ‘you just know the right things to say’.
8. People tell you they feel better ‘just having you around’.
9. You can see the bigger picture and are great at reassuring people.
10. When people who felt terrible, get up feeling fabulous and walk away, sometimes you feel flat as a pancake.
11. Even when you are the sober driver, you still wake the next day feeling hung over.
12. You feel chronically dehydrated sometimes.
13. Sometimes (often times) you have to admit that you look after other people better than you look after yourself.
14. You often run on empty, then find some kind of magic hidden reserve and keep going. (No, wait! That might be also be parenting!)
15. You can no longer watch the scary movies or thrillers you once found interesting because they somehow impact too deeply on your body.
If any of these things, a few; or even nearly all of them resonate with you – you could probably do with a few tips make life a little easier. Using your skills in a focused way can create amazing wellness for you and others around you, it can save you time and money. It can even become an income, and may indeed be your life’s calling.

When you realise you are so much more powerful than you could possibly imagine -
and that this whole journey is so much simpler with a genuine dose of grace, you
will stop fighting, drop your resistance that causes you sooo much pain,
You wish to believe it's hard?
I'm not here to argue with you, so I am simply going to say - as you wish.
You wish to believe you can't have peace? As you wish.
You wish to believe you can't have healing? As you wish.
Or do you wish to believe it's easy? As you wish.
It's true, it's mind over matter - Sceptics will claim that when you
demonstrate energy to them. And they are right. Energy and spirituality are both
a form of science.
Don't believe in magic? As you wish.
Maybe this is more palatable to you and a bit less airy fairy..... I'll change my reaction to 'as you choose.'
It's really the same thing.
This life for you could be fantastic and magical, should you choose to make it so.
It took me years to work out mine could, years of very real pain and trauma - and so I am not belittling anyone's journey - but I had a mind set that could have been more helpful and maybe empowered me to find a way out where all I could see were walls.
The power of positive thinking is well known, the power of mind over matter also well known and documented.
Power really comes from words and ideas. We use them first before we do anything and words are just lined up letters that we call 'spelling' aren't they?
So that's why I use the word 'wish' when I describe choosing.
In reality our words, thoughts and intentions are a mild form of magic - and one of the most exciting words we used in childhood was 'Abracadabra.'
I LOVED magic as a child, I experienced it through Walt Disney and through Mary Poppins and many writers. A great deal of the world is once again in love with magic through the writing of JK Rowling and her Harry Potter series of books.
But did you know Abracadabra is actually from an old Aramaic phrase 'Abraq Ad Habra' and Abraq Ad Habra's totally appropriate English translation is 'I create as I speak.'
And so an ancient phrase comes to be in our everyday language - telling us that we are in charge, we have choice, we have power. I teach power words to people. And the words we use that disable too. It's important to know both and use them wisely to enhance our life exper.
