On Lorde: My son walked into the kitchen one day when I was singing away to a new song (with something about bees in it) on the radio, and just casually said "Oh that's a girl called Ella from my school.
I said "no way Jack - she has to be an international artist - listen to the song." He said "I'm serious Mum, and the guys in her video are her friends and people from around school too." He showed me on youtube and I was amazed to find he was right. She had several thousand 'thumbs ups' on her song and it was Kiwis saying wow.
Didn't that all change?!!
I don't need to tell you she is an international artist, but todays news is really exciting - four Grammy nominations!! Wow!
While her team has created something so amazing and they so deserve the credit, it's weird to think of her transplanted in such a short space of time from Takapuna Grammar to the world. And I'm sure I'm not the only local (or kiwi for that matter) who is still a bit stunned by it.
I watched an interview with teenagers discussing Royals and one said 'if more music was like this, I think our youth would have a different perception of what they want to be when they are older.'
Amen to that.
I love how real she is, certainly not a Mary Poppins, she says what she thinks, sometimes she rubs people up the wrong way - her opinions are her opinions and she is obviously a bit bemused by some of this.
'Royals' feels like a subtle culture protest song - bringing teen life back to something a bit more real (and perhaps digestible) than plastic underwear - and just in the nick of time.
Go get your Grammy's Lorde. The world needs a Pure Heroine. Awesome.
Can you resonate with these 4 points that show your intuition has a voice in the supermarket? Here is a way you can work out how to 'hear' it louder.
1. How many times have you been in the supermarket or the grocery store, looked at the milk (a magnetic flash picture) and said 'no we have milk at home, so I'll get that later' - then gone home to discover one of your little darlings has downed the last of it while you are out?
Me too. It's so frustrating when you can't even eke a cup of tea out of the dregs.
Magnetic flash pictures pull your eye to a particular physical item. A little like wondering why on earth you are looking at an umbrella before you leave the house - then getting caught in a shower of rain. Pay attention.
2. How many times have you walked down the aisles and had a 'little something' just pop into your head, have picked it up, got home and been so pleased because you really needed it?
Me too. Many times. Pop-in pictures are a form of help. Take it.
3. How many times have you thought 'I should just get an extra packet of that in case I need it' decided not to, then wound up having a couple of extra people over for dinner?
And had to pop back, or send someone else down to get extras.
Me too. Pop in ideas like this are a future sign.
4. How many times have you been at the checkout or almost at the checkout and a flash of something you really needed (and maybe even came to the supermarket for in the first place) dawned on you? Me too! Isn't it such a relief as you quickly get it before you leave?
And have you kicked your own butt if you say 'nah I am already in this queue, I won't worry?' This is an 11th Hour Save or Divine Timing.
We often wish to be more connected without realising we already are. Developing your intuition this way makes grocery shopping more fun.
The magic is in the simple things, and there is much joy in discovery.
Next time you go, as you go into the supermarket, mentally ask for help. Ask your Angels, or your In-Tuition, for the most important items to reveal themselves, and see what happens. Remember the ways you have (and haven't) listened, and then centre yourself for just a moment by stopping, breathing in through your nose, out through your mouth and saying 'what do I need?' Now - just relax and wander along. Don't 'try' to do anything.
If nothing much happens - be ok with that. (You know you are going to have a next time.)
Just start taking more notice of the items that catch your eye or pop into your head as you stroll.
Take note of the way that you 'receive' that information.
Ask again after a while… 'what else?'
I'm not talking After Dinner Mints and Champagne, I'm talking essentials - like toilet paper, washing powder, cat food, rubbish bags, milk.
One of my memorable moments was so simple. I was walking along saying to myself, 'bread, bread, bread, I need bread' and in my head, like a little reminder, came these two words… "and butter".
I immediately knew that wasn't me - I was already busy doing something else.
With a little practise, you'll find your gifts include the way you 'think' of things, you will realise you already 'get a picture of things' in your head, and you'll get to know the times that you 'just feel like you should' are all a part of your sensory experience.
Using this over time helps you to trust your In-Tuition in other areas of life.
*If you've read this and got a surprise when you realised you are doing all this - you are one of the people I wrote it for. How gorgeous.

Recently while working/healing with a client, I 'saw' something that looked like an upside down bowl covered in prickles. It was on the side of her head. Immediately after I moved it, she was full of smiles.
She was very young, and someone had wished her unwell.
Here's why I'm sharing it with you...
I often watch people who are on a conscious spiritual journey trying really hard to heal something by making peace with their past - to forgive, let go and start afresh with a new attitude, and that's really great. They are wishing for an easier life, and think/believe they have to work hard to get it. And we definitely do have to take action but...
Many of those people have a prickly upside down thing sitting in their energy field or on their bodies too.
That thing can be part of what is holding them 'stuck'. And in many cases, it was NOT put there by them.
It was, in a way, attracted. But NOT in the way they think. And they can work and work and work to release it - but until they go to the source - which is NOT them - they will work and work and work to get rid of it. Or not.
There are so many spiritual teachings, so many 'ways' to do things, so many paths to follow, so many books to read, so much 'self' to help. And we have been all for 'getting' it. Mostly from the outside of us, instead of within.
Teaching ourselves to listen is the best thing ever.
One of the best pieces of advice that I was ever given by a spiritual person was this. 'STOP buying books.' I thought she was crazy at the time, (and for a while I took no notice) but it turned out she wasn't.
Why did I need to do that? Because I was consistently and almost obsessively doubting myself and giving away my own power.
This technique, that technique, all the techniques… are someone else's medicine. You can get a certificate in that - and those things can really help people. I'm not knocking them at all, they are good. But if you have done all that and there is still a thirst inside you, still something unanswered, then YOU have forgotten to ask the most important person on the planet about their wisdom. (It's you.)
You need to shut the books and deal with the fact that inside you, there is a better way for you. It's your In-Tuition. And while you are shaking your head and saying "I don't know it" I can assure you that you do. Everybody actually does - we are all coded with it. It's just buried under layers and layers of 'humans are powerless' which has been fed into you by others who were all For Getting.
My technique - BioSonar & Imaging Therapy - showed up when I closed my eyes. When I joined the dots. When I said "hey I don't know where this is going, but I will follow it." It's risky to do that, because it involves trusting in something bigger. It Evolves daily and it INvolves taking less responsibility. It's like following a trail of wonderful/wonderfilled clues. And just like a small child delights in achieving little goals and targets, it creates the most wonderful 'I can do this' and some very huge 'Oh My God!' moments.
So my words/concepts for the day InVolve choices and will.
DeVolve - ReVolve - EVolve - all these words have something to do with the way we roll.
Find out what these words mean to you and how you can apply them to pare back limiting beliefs, have a turnaround and take back power and move forward. And what do these words have to do with the prickly thing? Well sometimes the books we read will tell us that we own the prickly thing. And often, this is not quite true.
DeVolution to me - is not about moving backwards, it is about resetting, and it is about stripping away layers.
There is something that you can take great responsibility for: It's wishing others well. By default it bounces to you and helps you to have a smoother life and also to create miracles.

my previous post - emancipate yourself from mental slavery
A line from Bob Marley's Redemption song comes up over and over today. "Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds…"
Loading your life up with meaning is where it's at these days.
Prophets over profits - humanity needs US to breathe life into it in order to be emancipated.
Remember how life was when we were younger? When human connection was more important than having? When practical things lasted longer and were repaired? Climbing trees, building go-carts, having water slides and mud fights were the way we had fun. The simple things count and are most memorable…
We can just choose to take that back. We can vote with our feet. Shop smaller, shop local, buy kiwi made, encourage or become artisans, share information about community markets, grow fruit trees, gardens, and share your gardens with others. Teach your children to cook from scratch, to do things for themselves, to wash their own clothes and let their ideas and imaginations breathe.
It's a beautiful world when we do it for ourselves, for each other, and live simply... Here is our recycle up cycle Facebook page (it's a group so we can all post in it.)
Kindness brings kindness - I cannot find the news report, but recently heard of an Australian lady who shared a little land on her farm with some refugee families, and in turn they have repaid her kindness by helping to work her land, and providing her with an abundance of vegetables.
We have tools we are not using. Tools of the mind that can enhance our own lives. An attitude adjustment is sometimes all it takes.
It's time to learn those and stop swallowing the line that we are powerless.
Change is coming, but despite what you hear, we will be richer for it - it's a change we make ourselves when we choose not to engage with drama and go within. This change will do us all good. When we reach our arms out and hold everyone in our embrace, there is more love everywhere.
Baby steps, kindness and empowerment lead the way.
