I've been there, both with the bogeyman who frightened me and made me not want to stay in my bed, and as the frazzled, knackered Mum who just wanted her own bedspace back.
This No More Monsters Spray is designed to release the fear, give the power back, take the monsters away, make the room feel nice AND give YOU a lovely nights sleep.
Simply spray a few times in the room, twice over the bed, once under and into corners.

It's an amazing thing, but colour can travel through space to heal others too. The energy and frequency of colour travels across the internet to heal my clients in other countries and other parts of the country via Skype.
Colours help in relationship hearings, in family healing, with house healing and blessings, and so much more.
I'm fairly sure I'm having a love affair with my colour pencils, and my pencil sharpener, I use them in almost every healing session and there are certain colours I use more than others, some I've used down to tiny stubs. I've decided to collect them and save them in a jar, as they represent a huge amount of healing that has gone out to people over the last few months. I've been writing down sessions for quite some time, but during a session with a friend months ago - the coloured pencils were literally yelling out from the cupboard. I had no idea what I was going to draw - but I did what I was told.
The session drawings go home with the clients and so the vibration of ongoing healing is accessible to them through each drawing. Some of my clients hold onto them when they have trouble sleeping, and the clearing energy helps them nod off.
The more colour you fill your life with - the more vibrant your life becomes.
The decision people make, to enter into a hug with a stranger, is a decision to allow themselves to be held. Participation is made easier by the fact they will probably never see us again.
How do we hug? How often do we hug? We've nearly all been 'duty huggers' right?
Hands up if you haven't - but I bet there aren't too many hands up.
The top tip? Take a sign, or wear a Hugs for Peace or Free Hugs tee-shirt. It's just easier. Unless there is a really large crowd, 2 or 3 huggers are all you need.
1. Relax, breathe and don't do it if you're feeling grumpy because your hugs will suck.
2. You MUST let people have time to see you, weigh up the risk and decide that it works for them. You are helping them to walk through a comfort zone gap.
3. Honour comfort zones (don't walk along heckling them, that's not a Free Hug ) let them bring the zone to you.
You can quite often ‘sell' a hug to someone that is a little unsure with a great big smile, open arms and a "hey - it’s just non-alcoholic, calorie free goodness.” You can give a gentle second chance and say "are you sure?" to them if they smile and laugh when they say no.
4. A firm 'No', means no. Hugging anyone that doesn’t want a hug is counter productive and flips all your good energy over.
5. Hug the people who say YES. If they don't want a hug - they are not rejecting you - they are coming up against a wall of their own stuff. Your open heart may be the most threatening thing they have seen for days. But you might inspire them. And quite often people change their minds.
6. Some people will think you are nuts and go away growling. Let that roll off super fast - they are not your audience.
7. Some people will be a bit scared to hug you, but they will laugh and POW! the good vibes will have got them - just like that!
8. Be prepared for surprise huggers. Now and then people will jump into a hug. Some people will get out of their cars and run across the road to get to you for a hug. - Please DON'T go Hugging if you have a sore back.
9. A really healing hug lasts for moments longer than a 'see you later' hug - walls come down and people realise that there really are other people out there who care. It can be a deeply profound experience - wrapped in one magical moment of connection.
10. No Free Hug hug includes touching below the belly or on the butt! The only way is up Baby. Creepy - is creepy.
Smile from the tips of your toes to the top of your field. Arms out, fill your heart with love and greet that person with a full illumination of your energy field, seeing the light in them, regardless of whether they might believe it's present or not. You see them - as the beautiful soul they are.
That illumination brings deep clearing on so many levels. Let them go and bless them. Have fun.
You'll meet all sorts. I've hugged thousands of people and I can tell you, there are plenty of different huggers out there.
The rigid 'three pats on the back' hugger will probably pass you by - but the open arms 'come to Mama' hugger will say yes.
The 'surreptitious pelvis presser' hugger may have a go - yes it's yucky - no it doesn't happen often.
There is the 'I'll hug if you hug, but don't get carried away' hugger, those ones are generally doing it for points because their friends did.
The 'duty' hugger makes me a bit squeamish - Mothers often direct their kids to hug when the kids are not comfortable, we ALWAYS say to people who do this "no way - we respect boundaries and honour feelings - if you don't want to hug, don't hug."
The icing on your cake is the 'I love the world and everyone in it' hugger. (These ones are AWESOME.)
Your marriage proposals will come from the 'I haven't hugged a woman for years, would you come home and cook my dinner?' hugger. (These may also come with a quick pat near/on the bottom, but as they are mostly elderly men - I have not yet bopped one on the nose.)
Travellers are amazing, and so open to hugs, and there are a huge amount of people who just need a hug because nobody gives to them without expecting something. Ever. (These ones are often Mums.)
A Free Hug is just that - Free. If someone opens their arms to you and allows you to hug them, treat them as if they are offering you a most precious gift, because they are. An open heart is pure treasure.
It's not a PR exercise. You are giving - if you're really doing this properly, the Spirit of Free Hugs will stop you from speaking about your work unless you are directly asked by another person. Then it’s fine to talk about it and if they are genuinely resonant with it, let it grow organically into connection. Though I've hugged thousands of people, I've probably handed out only 6 or so business cards. This is not because I'm 'doing it wrong.'
Massive bonus: Many people will answer your free hug with a real hug of their own and give equally.
Most humbling and also very thought provoking: Some people will tell you they have not been hugged for years.
In this digital age we are embracing cyber space and losing touch with each other. We are more connected, and somehow, some of us are more alone then we have ever been. We just need to open our arms more.
In time I have hugged thousands of people. When I first started, I had to get a permit from the local council to do it.
I find it funny that I am, technically speaking - a licensed Free Hugger.
There have been so many highlights, but possibly the most poignant, were the elderly lady who initially said no, then said yes and had a really big hug, then told me she had not been hugged for ten years since her husband died… you read right - that's 10 years. How does that happen?
And the 12 or 13 year old boy who could not believe anyone would want to hug him (his Mum didn't want to - she didn't want him), he had a couple of hugs, then swapped shirts with his friends in an effort to go 'undercover' so he could come back and get more. We told him he could have as many as he liked.
Hugs can help throw people a lifeline when they've been hanging by a thread.
I hope you are inspired to share more, even if they are just at home.
And it's Mothers Day this weekend here in New Zealand - so you know where to start, don't you?
Purple is the colour of the Crown Chakra, of opening to spirit, spiritual wisdom, spirituality.
Purple is viewed as a colour of power. The integration of Heaven and Earth, supporting and expanding devotion, divinity, connection, bringing the Universal Consciousness into the 'Thousand Petaled Lotus' which you will see a representation of, on the top of Buddha's head.
Purple is the strongest colour in the wavelength visible to the human eye. At 430 - 390 nanometers, intense and concentrated, it is a powerful tool in colour healing, protective, used to heal/help people with addictions, (amethyst crystals are often used to ease or release alcoholism) to ease scattered minds, release fear, promote creativity, uplift, release depression, ease sadness and help with sleep, it is considered a spiritual antiseptic - see the Violet Flame Decree here .
Purple is favoured in Churches - denoting certain high ranking positions, and within all realms of spirituality - spiritual churches are often filled with a delightful riot of purple clad ladies.
Because purple possesses these mystical or God-like associations, it can also be a trigger colour for some sceptics - who think Madame Zelda's purple velvet table cloth is the pits. That which draws and fascinates one person, repels another.
The closed (or certainly restricted) Crown Chakra of a sceptic may be threatened by the embracing, blossoming wavelength of purple - asking for expansion in trust and wonder.
Purple in flowers: Violet, Lilacs and Lavender are all gorgeous, but this Crocus wooed me.
Crocus stands for cheerfulness, and is the origin of the highly prized and terrifically expensive spice Saffron. Up to 250,000 Saffron flowers must be plucked of their golden goodness - to make just ONE pound of Saffron spice!
Nicholas Culpeper the Botanist, Herbalist, Physician & Astrologer said of Saffron 'The use of it ought to be moderate and reasonable, for when the dose is too large, it produces a heaviness of the head and sleepiness. Some have fallen into an immoderate convulsive laughter which ended in death.'
- Culpeper's The Complete Herbal, 1649 .
That'a a serious amount of cheerfulness - but I'm quite sure you could do worse than die laughing!!
You could sit for a moment, meditating on the Crocus picture, breathe in through your nose, out through your mouth, and ask for Crocus energy to infuse your body with healing - noticing where in your body you feel its effect most.
Let me know via email, and I will share my experience with you.
My recent newsletter featured an article about indigo, and in the course of my writing, I discovered anthocyanin.
After a conversation this morning gave me even more insight, I am super lucky to be awaiting the arrival of a bottle of Black Raspberry Vinaigrette from Te Kuiti (NZ based) company Peplars Fine Foods.
Tony and Belinda are committed to creating beautiful foods with love and they have a wide range of jams, jellies, chutney mustards, vinaigrettes…
They have developed a range with stevia in it for those with a preference to avoiding sugars.
Here is their link: Black Raspberry Vinaigrette
I am told by Belinda that Black Raspberries *note these are not BLACKberries - are even higher in Anthocyanin than blueberries.
The Black Raspberries are grown in NZ, but they are juiced rather than sold in shops because they have a great deal of seeds in them - they are rich in ellagic acid, anthocyanins and antioxidants, and have been called the ‘king of berries’ for their superior health benefits.
Ohio State University scientists found significant decreases in colon tumours in rats and oesophageal tumours in mice when fed on a diet which included black raspberries.
They are now trialling this on humans. I look forward to hearing more.
I'm convinced that there is 'food for thought' here, after my research into the way that indigo helps the brain. Here is my article on indigo.
During a session when I worked with a client a few years ago I saw her with her small suitcase, being sent far away. I was given the words 'Leaving Liverpool' and when I shared them with her, she said she was part of the Child Migrant scheme (and was grateful to be sitting down). Big healing energy was present in the space that day as we worked through trauma and into peace.
I had read the book Empty Cradles by Margaret Humphries when it first came out, so I was aware of how devastating and widespread the damage was for children, taken from living parents and sent overseas in a drive to populate parts of the globe with good, strong, working 'stock'.
Many parents were told their children had either been adopted in England or their lives had been lost and the children were often told they had been orphaned.
The last time it happened was 1967!
Margaret's story is an amazing piece of work that has helped many lives by bringing transparency to the acts of Government, charitable and religious organisations and ultimately creating networks of support and assistance to enable people to find relatives that may still be alive.
Useful links for child migrants are here:
(Photo Source The West Australia News 2007)
Some children were also sent to New Zealand and other countries.
I don't know if it still happens, but the women's magazines, such as the Womens Weekly and Womens Day regularly featured small advertisements in the back from people wanting to connect with missing relatives, brothers and sisters who were separated.
These days, we are so lucky to have the internet, making the world a much smaller place.
Orange is the colour of the Sacral Chakra,
and takes care of your lower back and your reproductive system.
A great colour for everyone, but especially good for women. Got lower back pain or period pain?
Find something orange to place on it.
Orange can even be useful for car sickness, cutting heavy energy and clearing the air.
Spiritually Orange in balance - is confidence, focus, eyes wide open, creativity, production and reproduction. Out of balance orange brings a feeling of being stifled, stuck, scattery and unproductive.
In some cases, a very scattery person may find an orange environment extremely overwhelming until they have come more gently into balance.
Using orange has an uplifting, releasing and sedative effect. I've used it (the fruit) to clear symptoms that appeared to be flu like out of the body. It takes minutes. Think about trading minutes for a potential 3 weeks with the flu, and you know oranges are worth looking into.
Orange oil in an aromatherapy burner is said to relieve muscle cramps and indigestion. Lighter orange - like mandarin is a beautiful oil for children, and tends to leave a feeling of comfort and happiness.
Chock filled with vitamin C, we've heard the benefits of oranges for years and years and one of their ingredients D-Limonene has been studied extensively for its ability to combat cancer. Orange promotes the production of collagen. Here is a fact sheet from the US about High Dose Vit C.
In the Aura Soma range of products, the bottle number 26 - which is orange over orange, is the bottle we use for treating shock.
I created a product that I call Giggle Juice which contains orange to uplift and release stress, shock and trauma. It was named by a client who still purchases it. (Giggle Juice is $24.50 including postage.)
Why Giggle Juice? Because she laughed as soon as I sprayed it in her auric field, and so did the next few people. The name stuck.
Orange promotes the production of collagen. I have a friend who uses fruit on her face, (orange, avocado, mango) she has amazing skin, and recommends eating the orange and using the peel to massage and detox the face. *Orange has a photo toxicity, which means applying orange oil before going into the sun can create a problem for the skin.
Once upon a time we just used to eat them to prevent colds!
In these days of trying to limit the chemicals our families are exposed to, it's great to see the old favourites coming back. I don't know about you, but I've been making jams and pickles and I am encouraged by the simple things that make life special, magical and easier.
Recipe - Orange Whizz Cleaner
This recipe takes 5 minutes to prep and 30 days of brewing, but it's worth it!
Enough orange peels to fill a jar. (If it's going to take you a while to collect these, freeze them as you go.)
Optional: Orange essential oil.
Turn the peels on their backs and cover with salt - leave for about 30 minutes. This helps oils release from the peel. Then put the peels in a large jar and cover with vinegar.
Now - don't get too excited because you have to wait a month.
Give the jar a shake now and then, just because you can.
In a month, find a suitable spray bottle and dilute mixture half and half with water. If you want to - this is the time to add a few drops of your essential oil.
Shake and use spray as you normally would any surface cleaner.
Happy (incredibly reasonably priced) Cleaning!
Next week I am looking at yellow and the unexpected ways it can help our bodies.
When I learned Reiki I was really scared. Scared I wouldn't be able to remember, scared I wouldn't be able to do it. But what happened when I stepped out of my comfort zone, was simply amazing.
After my Level 1 Reiki Class I came home, feeling a little light headed and excited, and wondering if I could 'really do it'. I slept soooo well and was looking forward to using Reiki.
I had homework, to practice Reiki on myself for 21 days - I had two young sons and was excited to use it for them too.
I was on my own, doing the lions share of parenting, and any way I could help make that easier was welcome - a well family saves stress, time and discomfort, time off work and money too. Good for me and great for my boys? Bring it on!
Unexpectedly, my chance came the following morning.
As is often the way, the boys shared a bunk bed. My older son woke up very early the following morning and uttered the words no mother wants to hear "BLEEEEAAARGH I'm gonna be SICK" As he hopped out of bed I leapt up on 'autopilot damage control mode' praying for him to avoid vomiting on the carpet... and then the weirdest thing happened.
He ran around the corner and into the bathroom, and leaned over the toilet making a huge heave noise. I was right behind him and put my hands on his back, saying "Don't be sick, don't be sick, don't be sick."
He gave another sort of half heave, breathed in and said.. "Oh, wow, that's weird. I don't feel sick anymore, in fact..... gee that's really weird." And standing up, he looked at me and then said "I'm a bit hungry. I think I will go and eat breakfast."
I watched in stunned amazement as he left the bathroom and went to the dining table. (It was CocoPops, if you're wondering.)
I was standing there wondering what happened (I was sleeping when all this started, so hadn't really got all my faculties in order) and then I realised my Reiki had switched on automatically as my hands were so hot - they felt like they were almost glowing.
My son went off to school right as rain. Amazing.
Reiki has helped my family many times since and as I became a Reiki Master/Teacher, I have been priveleged to share it with countless people.
It has definitely changed my life for the better and brought me many amazing experiences on my journey. The simplest and most graceful form of healing, anyone can learn it, as you are attuned by the Master.
My fear when I went along, was due to what I thought was a bad memory (and truckloads of low self confidence), but I was so reassured, and then I came to understand, that Reiki is a process that you learn by doing.
It's an ongoing major blessing in my life, and can be the same for you.
I'm teaching on Saturday August 9th, from 10am till 4:30pm in Mairangi Bay.
My clients often have great difficulty transferring the essence of my work into words.
It took me a while too.
Why? Because I often work without touching them, so it seems like magic - which most people think is not real - and people often start running when you say the words 'miracle healer'. Other people can see the results, but as they don't have a reference point for magic being real - they need to be inspired by circumstance, or courageous enough to take that leap of faith.
I work in a high trust environment. Sometimes clients just come because they have been told to. The most common phrase I hear them say is 'my friend told me I just needed to come'.
In my former life as a total sceptic who thought people were 'woo woo' and talking through a hole in their hats…. I also ran a mile when someone told me they had got 'in touch with their Indian Guide.'
'Mystical B.S.' I thought to myself. I did! and I also thought evangelists were basically vultures who preyed on, rather than prayed for people.
I didn't realise the steady stream of friends who came and told me all their problems, then left feeling better, were basically getting a healing from me. (I never told them my problems.)
I didn't realise that things I said were going to happen, did happen. I didn't realise I was right (until later) when I said 'that guy cheats on his wife' - I just knew that stuff.
I also had deja vu moments - doesn't everyone? and now and then I had dreams that happened (apparently that happens to many people too).
I completely forgot about my childhood visions because of a terrible illness that created memory loss. And I lived fairly harmoniously with the voices in my head, thinking, like most people do, that they were just thoughts.
I called myself 'normal'.
Now - I don't label anything. I like to understand why and see results.
Working with echo location gives me both.
Dolphins use echo location - a series of clicks and beeps to find things, and so do blind people when they tap their canes.
Through my BioSonar work, I create a Soundscape for a person, a place or situation, and then work with an idea or essence - through past present or future - transferring release, freedom and restorative, regenerative, healing energies within that Soundscape.
It brings some fairly amazing healing, dissolving hurts, pain and imbalance from the physical, mental, spiritual or emotional bodies.
It's also good for pre-op and post-op, sports injuries, even old pain you thought you just had to bear.
It is absolutely fantastic in helping relationships. If there has been tough stuff - but there is love that needs dusting off and bringing to light - BioSonar does that beautifully.
For more information on how BioSonar can help you (or a friend) please share this post, or please contact me via text, phone or the button below.
We are winding the clock back 5 years. It's 3am.
I wake. I have a huge amount of information in my head and I can't get back to sleep.
It runs over and over and over. I find myself imagining conversations with people, thinking of people that have passed away, situations that did not come out the way I wanted them to, and then there is the information. The ideas. Trotting through my head. Some really amazing pieces of jewellery I could make. Some articles that would be good. Some jobs I need to do tomorrow. The amazing money spinner idea that could pay all the bills and make me a millionaire.
I toss, turn, stress out. And wake in the morning, knackered.
The millionaire idea? Gone. Jewellery? Gone. Article? Gone.
The feeling like I have had a herd of creatures passing through my head in search of a waterhole... 100% present. Argh.
I plod on with my day. Remembering at some stage that I saw my grandfather and he told me I would 'see' many things.
The millionaire idea? Still gone. Bugger. I rehydrate. (And do it all again the following night)
Coming back to present tense, medically speaking - the 3am wake up call can be linked to your blood sugar and adrenals. So if this commonly happens to you - look at your diet. However if you have all the diet boxes ticked and this still happens, bringing with it all the mind traffic...
Other key factors in restlessness/early waking can include:
Things that can help promote sleep are:
In extreme circumstances, say night terrors, for example, a house clearing or past life clearing may be required. While this might seem a bit weird, I can assure you it has been very beneficial to many people. House clearing often has many unexpected benefits, not limited to better sleep - it can often help relationships between partners or children, can sometimes help the house to be warmer, and life can just feel lighter. Commonly my audience members go home after a healing show and sleep like a log. Why? Because often the stress they were carrying has been cleared, and because it's energy work and it travels over distance - their pillow has cleared too.
Possibilities are endless once we take a look.
