The Lighthouse.
All her life she had been hiding inside herself and nobody knew. All her life she had wondered why the people around her that said they were her family, seemed foreign to her sometimes. People who were meant to be her teachers didn't understand her. She felt fear and lack most of the time, unless she escaped. She escaped best to the grass and the clouds and the trees and the sky. She escaped to the whisper, the silence, the roar, the bounty and the inexorability of nature. Nature knew her best. Nature was her home. In nature, she wished for her wings to grow back and to lift her away from this place. Sometimes she even wished for someone to steal her. Then she grew up. She discovered that people had been stealing her all her life, and she had been letting them. She had no boundaries, and gave herself away, trying to please people and make the pain stop. It didn't stop. In her confusion she had thrown away good things and kept others that hurt. She tried to make amends. She did things for people, she gave away things, she gave away money. She waited and waited for a friend, or for a partner to see that she was real and worthy. It didn't happen. People she loved left her, and took things. And took her for granted. Her story was awful. Until the day she started to say No. No built a small boundary inside her first. No protected her from further pleasing of the others. No helped her to please herself. All this time she thought life was about giving and she realised she had starved herself by giving in the wrong order. She said No again and again and took her time doing things for herself. The others were angry. They accused her of being selfish. And she was. She withdrew the energy streams she had been sending out everywhere and she sent them into her heart where they belonged. The others raged. She had pulled out their power lines, their plugs and hooks. It hurt and almost drained her of courage. She wavered a little, feeling bad for them, but listened to her heart and realised if she did not serve herself, they were going to suck her dry of all her goodness and she needed to survive. She no longer felt responsible for their happiness. Her shoulders grew lighter. Her heart grew full. She was self-ish. There was no one left. But she was free. It was incredibly liberating. And then the flow started. At first it was a trickle, little by little the people came, seeing she valued her Self, they acknowledged and responded to her value. She invested in herself by blessing the ones who were present before and who taught her to value herself, and the ones who understood came back. She kept moving forward into an ever increasing stream of new people, new adventures and wonder. The flow of people coming to her became a deluge and she realised she was not only worthy - she had a purpose and the purpose was to free the others. She discovered that all the self doubting in the world was in fact, real selfishness because it caused light to be dim, and only held others back from their healing and growth. She finally understood, she was birthed in love. No matter where she sprang from, how life shaped her, she chose to be here. She was not what had been 'done to her', she was an immaculate idea, divine in her inception, and so she shed the tight constraining bonds of the chrysalis that was her story, grew her wings and claimed the parts of herself that frightened others. She was creative, resourceful, wild, magical and amazing, no longer held back by thoughts of not-good-enough. She had come to the planet to be a guide, a way shower, finally she knew she was a lighthouse for others, to alert them, help them to safety and to hold a space for them to grow and blossom through their storms. She accepted her mission and opening her arms as widely as they could go, she laughed and embraced it with all her heart, exultant in the recognition that her souls greatest journey was also her homecoming. It wasn't meant to be a walk in the park. Lighthouses are made of strong stuff. She stepped up. And stood. Claimed her ground as solid rock and shone. And guide she did.

Marianne Williamson says 'We will inhabit the world we wish to see and that is why we must never lose sight of love.' But what is love? Love is only what it means to us. Everything on earth means what it means to us personally. It has as much importance or as little importance as we attach to it. It's all around us, yet - we sometimes need to tweak our eyes a little, tune ourselves to perceive a little, if we want to increase our spiritual vision. We already have a network of symbols. Hearts are love. Clouds herald rain, rainbows mean the sun is coming. Wool to me, means warmth and comfort, wool to a sheep farmer might mean hard work and profit. Dogs are loyalty - unless they are snarling - then they mean keep out. Consider some of the symbols you have and already use daily. Each persons symbols come from their own life experiences, so they all have subtle differences - and there is more than one way to look at the signs, symbols and messages that are everywhere - so really - it's about getting clear to look. Putting ourselves in a space of grace first, so we can simply receive, instead of pushing and thrashing to get some kind of outcome. A fearful space brings a fear of the signs that come, and a loving space brings a better experience. #1 Sit in a quiet space. And if the only quiet space you have is in the bathroom - go for it - it's a great start. Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. You do not have to get a result in this exercise. Simply say to yourself (internally) "I am willing to see." And imagine you have parcelled that up, in an envelope with a stamp on it - and you've sent it in some kind of imaginary Angel Powered Post Box. That's it. Let it go. #2 Admit to yourself that you need help. And then tell your Higher Self, your Angels, God or Nana, you are ready for that help. As simply as this "Angels, I am willing to accept the help you send me." #3 Take any steps that you feel guided, pressed upon, compelled to take. Carefully listen to hunches. Notice recurring thoughts, and instead of pushing them away, ask yourself - is this for my higher good? Discern whether you have been disregarding them due to fear, and if so - does that fear hold a key to healing for you? Write the thoughts down and take appropriate action. The action process is an instigation. The allowing process is an invitation. The active listening process is a validation. Love, faith, some devotion, constructive action, and dedicating yourself to service are all a part of welcoming miracles. So while you are sitting, after you have completed this process, place both hands on your heart and just warm it with love. Once you start to feel a fullness, send any excess out to your home, your family, pets and friends. As an ongoing process, intend to receive 3 big signs on a journey - perhaps the journey to work. I asked for a song (to confirm I was doing the right thing) while I was on my way to my Reiki 1 Learner Healers course, and at the top of the Reiki Teachers driveway - that song played on my car radio. It blew me away. And underlined my day, my Reiki, my Teacher and my spiritual way of life was very important. So what song will you ask for? And would you please let me know if you have a little story about it? Done the exercises, but need to clear some muck out of your spiritual eyes? Edelweiss, the song featured in the Rogers and Hammerstein musical The Sound of Music, was a gift today in a session I did with a client. It arrived, popping into my head, as most do, (have I told you about the Heavenly DJ?) in an extremely relevant moment. It turned out to be a spiritual healer that was most appropriate and most welcome in the space. Not only did my client know the song, AND sang it to me, but he also bought an Edelweiss flower when he was travelling, many years ago in Europe. The spiritual significance of Edelweiss is so encouraging. It stands for daring courage and noble purity. A hardy plant that blooms in difficult conditions, covered in a layer of fluff, protecting itself against the tough conditions. Used as a symbol of bravery and an award. To climb and return with Edelweiss was considered a great achievement. It's been protected in the wild, but is now grown all over colder places in the world, and for skincare ranges and medicinal preparations - Edelweiss is described as a miracle flower - good for vascular health with anti ageing properties and useful in cases of dysentary, diphtheria and tuberculosis. As I look into the message Edelweiss brings, it says "Tadahh! I made it!" to me. I see its journey through a tough space and how it presents itself, outstretched, and opened really wide. That star shape is magical. Can you see? If you close your eyes and ask - can you feel the energy of it? The vibration of flowers can move us deeply into a place of wellness. It may have traditionally been hard to find, but its generous openness, the exhilarating trip it led you on, and the beautiful energy it shares, is worth the hike. What a gift. 021 726 276 Previous post: Orange is underrated - How it can help you + a recipe
Orange is the colour of the Sacral Chakra,
and takes care of your lower back and your reproductive system. A great colour for everyone, but especially good for women. Got lower back pain or period pain? Find something orange to place on it. Orange can even be useful for car sickness, cutting heavy energy and clearing the air. Spiritually Orange in balance - is confidence, focus, eyes wide open, creativity, production and reproduction. Out of balance orange brings a feeling of being stifled, stuck, scattery and unproductive. In some cases, a very scattery person may find an orange environment extremely overwhelming until they have come more gently into balance. Using orange has an uplifting, releasing and sedative effect. I've used it (the fruit) to clear symptoms that appeared to be flu like out of the body. It takes minutes. Think about trading minutes for a potential 3 weeks with the flu, and you know oranges are worth looking into. Orange oil in an aromatherapy burner is said to relieve muscle cramps and indigestion. Lighter orange - like mandarin is a beautiful oil for children, and tends to leave a feeling of comfort and happiness. Chock filled with vitamin C, we've heard the benefits of oranges for years and years and one of their ingredients D-Limonene has been studied extensively for its ability to combat cancer. Orange promotes the production of collagen. Here is a fact sheet from the US about High Dose Vit C. In the Aura Soma range of products, the bottle number 26 - which is orange over orange, is the bottle we use for treating shock. Giggle Juice I created a product that I call Giggle Juice which contains orange to uplift and release stress, shock and trauma. It was named by a client who still purchases it. (Giggle Juice is $24.50 including postage.) Why Giggle Juice? Because she laughed as soon as I sprayed it in her auric field, and so did the next few people. The name stuck. Skin repair Orange promotes the production of collagen. I have a friend who uses fruit on her face, (orange, avocado, mango) she has amazing skin, and recommends eating the orange and using the peel to massage and detox the face. *Orange has a photo toxicity, which means applying orange oil before going into the sun can create a problem for the skin. Once upon a time we just used to eat them to prevent colds! In these days of trying to limit the chemicals our families are exposed to, it's great to see the old favourites coming back. I don't know about you, but I've been making jams and pickles and I am encouraged by the simple things that make life special, magical and easier. Recipe - Orange Whizz Cleaner This recipe takes 5 minutes to prep and 30 days of brewing, but it's worth it! You need: Enough orange peels to fill a jar. (If it's going to take you a while to collect these, freeze them as you go.) White vinegar. Salt. Optional: Orange essential oil. Turn the peels on their backs and cover with salt - leave for about 30 minutes. This helps oils release from the peel. Then put the peels in a large jar and cover with vinegar. Now - don't get too excited because you have to wait a month. Give the jar a shake now and then, just because you can. In a month, find a suitable spray bottle and dilute mixture half and half with water. If you want to - this is the time to add a few drops of your essential oil. Shake and use spray as you normally would any surface cleaner. Happy (incredibly reasonably priced) Cleaning! Next week I am looking at yellow and the unexpected ways it can help our bodies. My friend Kim posted this picture on Facebook. I've shared it because it's thought provoking. And I did a little research and discovered Ellen Goodman (born in 1941) is an American journalist and Pulitzer Prize winning writer. She is also a speaker and social commentator noted for being one of the first women in the United States to discuss women's rights openly. Interesting. Not very normal…. And just because I am not what many people call 'normal' I looked up a dictionary definition… apparently insane is an antonym of normal. (That seems a bit harsh.) Normal is many things: One of them being a town of central Illinois north-northeast of Bloomington. It is the seat of Illinois State University (founded 1857). Population: 50,700. After reading all that - I'm cool with some of my bits being normal and my head being one of the antonyms. Haven't decided which one yet. normal ˈnɔːm(ə)l/Submit adjective 1. conforming to a standard; usual, typical, or expected. "it's quite normal for puppies to bolt their food" synonyms: usual, standard, typical, stock, common, ordinary, customary, conventional, habitual, accustomed, expected, wonted, everyday, regular, routine, day-to-day, daily, established, settled, set, fixed, traditional, quotidian, prevailing More ordinary, average, run-of-the-mill, standard, typical, middle-of-the-road, common, conventional, mainstream, unremarkable, unexceptional, plain, simple, homely, homespun, workaday; garden-variety; informalbog-standard, vanilla, plain vanilla, a dime a dozen; informalcommon or garden; informalornery antonyms: unusual, abnormal (of a person) free from physical or mental disorders. "her temperature was above normal" informal a person who is conventional or healthy. 2. technical a line at right angles to a given line or surface. "the view is along the normal to the surface" Well -if you're still with me after all of that… How is your view along the surface? Yours in delighted abnormality, Red is the colour of love. It's regenerative, sensual, stimulating, the colour of power, of the base of our bodies. Of security. Red is all about growth from 0 - 7 years and cares for our backs, hips, legs and feet. It is the colour of the wavelength of light from approximately 620–740 nm on the electromagnetic spectrum. What does that mean to us? We are on a wavelength too. And when our waves are a bit choppy, we need a little colour tuning. So this is the first part of that tuning. When we are lacking in energy, our bodies sometimes need red. To find out if your red balance is out. Stand up, relax, shake yourself a wee bit, flop your arms to the sides and breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. Ask in your mind… 'do I need more red?' If your body wants to move forward slightly - you probably do. Go find a little bit of red from somewhere and tuck it in your pocket for a while thinking about absorbing the colour for healing. Later check in again with your body and see how you are feeling. Are you topped up? Too much red too close to bedtime might not be so conducive to deep sleeping. So if you have a big red duvet - and you are not sleeping - try a night with it off the bed - it might be 'winding you up' a bit. Don't forget to check your pockets and take out your red helper before you pop it in the wash! Have you subscribed to my Weekly Newsletter? Next week I am featuring Orange. Previous post - Feel like you're driving through quicksand to get to work? Here Feel like you're driving through quicksand to get to work? You need to know about office energy.22/1/2014 Does it feel like the whole Universe is conspiring to keep you away from the office? Try as you might, it seems you can't ARRIVE on time? Do you feel like small arrows are piercing your back as you work? Do you feel like you are sucked dry at the end of the day? Is bully energy getting you down? If you want to be more productive and work in a fresher, clearer space, then there are a few things that could be useful to know. Work stress can be in part, related to your energy field boundaries. The signal you are sending. The energy of the office, the people that you work with and the people who come in. First steps first. Some of this is up to you. Building your boundaries is really important. Subtle changes make a massive difference, so first things first, get in early and have an overhaul. Just shift something round. Throw out or streamline the things that aren't completely necessary. If you don't have a plant - get one. We all know that indoor plants are a good idea. Why? Boston Fern, Peace Lily and the hardy Rubber plant rate highly with NASA for elimination of airborne toxins such as in the office environment. (The three major indoor air pollutants are benzene, formaldehyde, and trichloroethylene.) If things feel stale even though you have plants, your plants need a holiday. Repot them, so a new period of growth can occur or exchange them for some new ones and let the old ones rest for a bit in fresher air. Your atmosphere: Clearing the air is a great idea. Lemongrass or grapefruit are BIG helpers in the office and here's why - both are uplifters. Grapefruit is gentle, uplifting, with its light citrus notes, it brings eyes wide open and restores balance. Lemongrass is widely used for its abilities to cut and clear through negativity. A little is better than a lot. Just a drop here and there, or if it's possible, use an electric burner for a short time in the mornings. So that's your bit. My part…? The work I do in offices helps to take off and clear away the old layers of emotional abuse, of pressure and stress and put you back in your shoes, so you can focus and get your job done. If you have been targeted by someone or just feel overwhelmed in their space - I shift their energy out of yours, and work to clear and release the layers that attract that, put you back into your personal power space, help you hold your own energy - then give you the tools to help yourself. In short, I put you into harmony with your job. (And then give the office an energetic scrub.) What's the quicksand about? Well, if you are really not meant to be there - it's sometimes hard to get there. So we can also take a look at where you are meant to be, call in your new space and get you ready to step into it. In perfect grace. Remember this - The Universe is answering YOU. So let's get your message clear and concise so it can answer your prayers to move forward. 021 726 276

Deb X Previous post: DeLightScope - A little delight in your week here Place your feet flat on the floor and breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth to connect. Close your eyes for a moment and feel that connection. Keep cycling your breath allowing yourself to float and drift into the lightness that envelops you. In your open hand I place a golden cloth. It pulses gently with golden light and has an energy that soothes your heart. As you unwrap it you find you are holding a handful of Pure Faith, humming its song of trust and unconditional love. Put it where you feel you need it most - in yourself or someone else. Breathe it in through your nose and out through your mouth and let the magical energy of the faith caress your soul and nurture you. EnJOY. In love and miracles, Deb X Why have an aura cleanse and balance? Because when we go through life, the electrical field of our bodies has to deal with the 'static' life brings us. We collect all sorts of interference daily. Imagine you are wearing a suit and walking through a field of really tall grasses - at the end of your journey, your suit would need a brush down wouldn't it? Our Aura is a bit like that. Even more so if we are sensitive to energies. Sometimes, we have old debris in the field, or a build up of debris, and that can makes us feel a bit run down and overwhelmed, perhaps we might say we are 'feeling flat.' The debris can also block our energy centres - the spinning disks that are commonly referred to as Chakras in Sanskrit teaching. Just like a bath, a cleanse and balance brings freshness. Post surgery is a GREAT time for an Aura Cleanse, as the energy from people who worked on your body may still be with it - so cleansing and balancing supports your recovery. At any time, it is absolutely wonderful to build up your field. An Aura Cleanse and Balance takes half an hour and is $60. |
